Operation Healthy, Happy Bride

Hi, my name is Kali. I'm 21 years old. I live in Lebanon, TN. I'll be getting married to the love of my life on October 24, 2014. This blog is dedicated to my journey from being a 225 lb. food addict/binge eater to the healthy, happy person I know in my heart I want to be. I honestly can't remember when I started my journey. This journey has been rough, but it's also been absolutely beautiful. I'm learning more and more about myself every day. The end of 2013 and the start of 2014 were very rough for me. I yo-yo'd a lot and fell back to my old ways. It's time to get serious about this. It's time to reach my full potential. I'm going start treating my body with the respect it deserves and I WILL be healthy and happy when I walk down the aisle and start the next chapter in my life with my soon-to-be husband.

I have Multiple Sclerosis, but Multiple Sclerosis does not have me.

My ask box is always open.

Hey, everyone! This Saturday my fiancé and I will be walking in the Middle Tennessee MS Walk for my birthday. I was diagnosed on July 31, 2013 with Multiple Sclerosis and it was devastating. With the love and support of my wonderful fiancé, friends, and family, I’ve learned that I can overcome any obstacle and for as long as my legs work, I’ll continue walking and fighting the MonSter. I’m asking you to support my team, the MonSter Mashers, in the walk because this cause means so much to me. Millions of people are affected by MS but I feel in my heart that if we all continue fighting this unpredictable, often disabling disease that we WILL see a cure in my lifetime. I know money is tight and I’m not asking for much. If you’d take a moment to donate even $1, it’d mean the world to me. Every dollar raised and every step walked gets us that much closer to a cure and I don’t know about you, but a world free of MS sounds pretty amazing. If any of my local friends want to join us in Nashville on Saturday for the walk, please do so. Thank you. <3

Joey and I booked this BEAUTIFUL lodge for our wedding and reception. It’s not available on Halloween, so we changed the date of our wedding to October 24, which is the week BEFORE Halloween. We’re so excited. :D

Here is an organized list of of the recipes I have posted on my blog, for easy finding of things. I will also be putting a link to this post in my sidebar for ease of use.

Delicious snack after a killer workout. (:
